Watched the longest feud couple of nights back, about Botham V chappel. They're really really HATE each other to this day. Amusing when they get them together for a reunion.

It's only 45 mins so worth a peek

Sunderland Til I Die season 3 "dropped" on Netflix this week.
It's 3 episodes covering when they got promoted back to the Championship.

Re-watched the first 2 series as well, it is excellent even if you're not a fan of football.

Chim

Agreed. Watched it last night after the recommendations on here, very underwhelmed by it.

I thought when they discovered the copper was that bird's ex, that would be a can of worms, but it was never mentioned again.

All a bit half arsed and far too long.

I watched American Nightmare tonight and I am sorry to say that I thought it was a bit shit.

When the detective found the strand of blonde hair why the fuck didn't they test it for a DNA sample?

Also, why did they not expand on the fact that the top FBI agent on the case used to go out with the woman the two accused worked with.

It came across as sloppy police work but I am betting there's another story there that the documentary makers bottled out of.

I think each piece of the documentary was released separately so there's a longer length One Year In A Life of Crime released in 1989, and a sequel released in 1998. I haven't seen them though, the condensed version was enough to fuck up my week. Gutting.

Glad you enjoyed it NS! It's a really good/hard hitting bit of film-making isn't it. Pulls no punches.

Roeders, just google "A life of crime 1984-2000 watch online free'. There's a documentaries site where you can watch it.

This recommendation comes up a lot....any idea where I can find it (without paying)?

I already have Netflix / Amazon Prime TV, but couldn't see it last time I looked.

I've got a rarely used Firestick if it helps re: access.

Re: Recommend a Documentary
Cheers Vexed and Scorch had a spare couple of hours last night so went on your recommendation... have to say as hard/heartbreaking as it was to watch it’s probably one of the greatest docs I have seen... the doc maker was lucky that he got to follow three brilliant characters on their journey through life... just a shame that the 4th that bully woman beating cry baby cunt decided to pull the plug. A riveting watch and have to say I shed a tear at the end ... and I agree with you Vex... show that to youngsters.... that’s your glamour of a life in drugs.

Absolutely. Really shows the complete viciousness of the cycle they get caught up in and how hard it is to break. Maybe even from something small in the first place, and they aren't really bad people necessarily either.

Fucking savage innit? An absolute gut punch. But I can honestly say that it's changed my thinking on these types of people and how badly the cards are stacked against you if you find yourself in that position. I think they should make kids watch it in their early teens just to show them the reality that some people end up in through some bad decisions.

Seconded. I watched it last year or so. Brilliant doc, and completely heartbreaking in a lot of places. Especially the one guy- I won't go into more detail with him for the sake of anyone who hasn't seen it, but, if you've seen it you know.

On Netflix - Lover, Stalker, Killer - You will never go on a date again after watching this!

How to Catch a Serial Killer. Story of how British cop Steve Fulcher's career was ended after the arrest of killer Christopher Halliwell. Perfect example of how a criminals rights seem more important than a victims.

I have to agree with Chim....that Dopesick series had me shouting at the TV. Painkiller is a little too polished.

Crikey chim - that’s a hardcore opioid right? The strongest thing I’ve ever had was Ketonal Forte for an earache and that was aaaaiiiiiiiiii!!!!-type pain. Anyway, that’s it. Dooesick was the one I was recommended but forgot the name and came up with Painkiller. It’s on Netflix, which is my usual TV experience dealer these days.

I'm on that stuff (Oxycontin) after the crash.

Fuck Painkiller off and watch the infinitely better Dopesick. Neither of those shows are documentaries (they are dramas) but they both explain the Purdue Pharma's lies. It's a sickening story but Dopesick was close to Michael Keaton's (I think one of America's best actors) heart as his nephew died abusing it. It's got the excellent Will Poulter, an English actor in it too

Re: Recommend a Documentary
American Nightmare is good, insane how the police and FBI handled that.

Watched Captains of the World, on Netflix. Pretty decent stuff, apart from Aluko appearing in it. They even put ‘England legend’ under her name. Ridiculous box ticking. Utterly useless commentary from her as usual.
